I have a schnauzer-poodle who tends to get along very well with other dogs, but deosn’t like really anyone but females and babies unless she knows the person well. Because of the abuse she suffered before we got her, she has problems with being around food. She becomes very aggressive and will bit easily. Oh, and we had 2 rabbits before and she tried to attack them sometimes. But i think that’s just because of her schnauzer nature.

Before you can consider getting another pet you must resolve her other problems.
1. Her aggression/fear (which one?) of certain humans
2. Her food possession or guarding
You should be constantly working and training to resolve these until they are eliminated. Regular obedience training and classes will help. You can read my answer on a food possession problem question here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120813135925AA4SQzL
Remember that you must get a 100% reliable Sit, Down, Stay, Drop it, Heel, and Come, those are the basics that every dog must know. Don’t treat her differently because she has been abused–it you can forget about it and treat her like a normal dog, she will too. She should be in training for her aggression. Even if her problems are caused by former abuse, you still resolve them the same way (in most cases). Once you have resolved those problems and done lots of obedience training, I’m sure you won’t have an extensive problem introducing a pot-belly pig to the household. Just remember not to ignore bad behaviours, because by ignoring them, you are encouraging them and giving your support of the behaviour. If she shows aggression, correct her. If she is calm and well-behaved, praise and reward her. Supervise them when they are together for the first few months, and separate them when you can’t supervise. Keep a leash on the schnauzer to correct her if she displays aggression.
Good luck!

Dogs are preditor animals… pigs are prey animals… you can train your dog to not attack the pig, but NEVER, NEVER leave the dog alone with the pig.
