We have 3 chickens and a rooster. They really don’t put off much of an odor since we only have a total of 4. They are fun to watch, and don’t really cause too many problems, plus we haven’t bought eggs in over a year for a family of 3 people because they supply about 1 to 2 nice eggs a day. The only thing you need is a little hay for them to sit in and a perch and a fence. They’ll live through pretty much anything.
- and our rooster (foghorn) eats out of our hand pretty much, they aren’t really aggressive except around other roosters.

Some type of poultry. During the winter you can put a heat lamp in the shed or coup. Also in winter they don’t really require being let out so you could keep them in on snowy days. My chickens handle the hot weather okay as long as they have water and shade.
